Part of 4Ps budget for livelihood

CEBU, Philippines - Team PNoy senatorial candidate and reelectionist Alan Peter Cayetano said he will propose that P20 billion out of the P40 billion proposed budget increase for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps for next year will go to the small businesses in the countryside as capital.
Cayetano, who was in Cebu yesterday said of the P20 billion, each region through the barangays or non government organizations or cooperatives, shall be given a capital of at least P500,000 that will be used as a capital for small business in the area.
These small business owners shall be made to pay the borrowed capital in low interest rates.
Cayetano also said that Cebu has “small treasures” that will serve as tourist attractions and at the same time increase the sales or income of small entrepreneurs.
Cayetano went to Mat-Mat Chicharon Factory in Sibonga town as part of his listening tour in relation to his advocacy, the “Presyo, Trabaho, Kita”.
After listening to some of the factory workers, Cayetano held a motorcade with First District congressional candidate Gerard Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr. up to Talisay City hall.
Cayetano was met by First District Rep. Eduardo Gullas who said he considers the senator a brother. Both belong to the Nationalista Party.
After his brief stay at the City Hall to meet and greet some of the employees including Talisay Mayor Socrates Fernandez, he went to Mandaue City for a closed-door meeting with the members and officials of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
