Divine Mercy confab slated May 18-19

CEBU, Philippines - The 18th Divine Mercy Convention for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao is to be held in Cebu on May 18 to 19 at the UC Maritime Educational and Training Center (UC-METC) with the theme, “Jesus Invites us to Believe and Proclaim His Mercy.”
The two-day event will open with the free registration of delegates on Saturday, May 18 at 7 a.m.
Rev. Fr. Mario Vitor will start the morning session with opening prayer and welcome address. Rev. Fr. Beunaventure Valles, FDM will end the morning session with a Holy Mass.
In the afternoon, delegates from the Philippines and other countries will go on a pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy Shrine in Cansojong, Talisay City where they will venerate the Miraculous Black Nazarene and the Relic of Saint Faustina.
On Sunday, May 19, speakers will discuss the many aspects of Divine Mercy. Scheduled to talk are Rev. Fr. Marco Vitor, SAP Father Superior, Society of the Angel of Peace, Archdiocese of Cebu; Rev. Fr. Jose M. Santos, SVD Katurikku Kagoshima Shikyo-ku, Japan; Rev. Fr. Lucas Inoc, Spiritual Director, Divine Mercy, Archdiocese of Cebu; Rev. Fr. Louino V. Alejandro, Archdiocese of Zamboanga; Dr. Rene Bullecer, Pontifical Council on Health Care, Vatican City, Rome; Bro. Noe Dora, former pastor; and Rev. Fr. Victor Bompat, Diocese of Tagbilaran.
A Holy Mass to be celebrated by Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma will cap the day’s activities.
